How can I become a customer at CrediaBank online?

To become an CrediaBank customer online, you must:

  • Be an individual or a freelancer
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Be a Greek citizen
  • Have a Greek Police Identity Card
  • Be a Taxisnet code holder
  • Have your details updated in the National Communication Register

To complete the opening of your account online, you must follow the following steps:

1) Select: Become a customer from any device that has a camera (computer, laptop or mobile phone)
2) Register your e-mail and your mobile phone
3) Upload a copy of your police ID
4) Connect to the eGov-KYC service with your Taxisnet codes, to provide the bank with all your personal details
5) Verify your details via video call with our representative
6) Accept the relevant terms of use and receive them in your e-mail
7) Receive your access codes for the digital services (CrediaBank e-banking & Mobile)
8) Connect to the digital services and get information about your new bank account and your new debit card

What is the process?

The process is very easy, it can be done any day of the week, 24 hours a day, from any device that has internet access and a camera.

It only takes 15 minutes and all you need to have with you is your Police Identity Card.

1) Select ‘Become a customer at CrediaBank’.
2) Connect to the eGov-KYC Service with your Taxisnet codes & consent to the transmission of your data to CrediaBank.
3) Take a selfie.
4) Verify your details via video call & then your connection codes are issued.
5) Accept the terms & complete your application.

What type of accounts can I open online?

If you are not a customer of CrediaBank, you can open an CrediaBank My Account deposit account online, or an CrediaBank Payroll account.

If you are not a customer of CrediaBank and you are a freelancer, you can open a Current account online.

Then, if you wish, you can open other types of accounts by visiting an CrediaBank’s Branch.

What information do I need to provide, to open an account online?

You will need to provide us with the following information:

1) Your income & tax details.
2) Your permanent residence & contact details.
3) Your professional details.

The transmission of your information to CrediaBank during the online account opening process is done by logging in to the eGov-KYC Service, using your personal codes for Taxisnet and after you give your consent, your information stored in eGov is transferred to the Bank.

For this reason, you first need to have updated your information (address and mobile phone) in the National Communication Register before starting the process.

Is an initial deposit required to open an account online?

No. You can open an CrediaBank My Account, an CrediaBank Payroll account, or a Current Account online with a €0 initial deposit amount.

I am a foreign resident. Can I open an account online?

If you are abroad, you can open an account online, only if you meet the following conditions:

  • You are a Greek citizen.
  • You have a Greek Police Identity Card.
  • You are a Taxisnet code holder.
  • You are required to file a tax return in Greece. 
  • You have updated financial information in the eGov-KYC Service.
  • You have in eGov-KYC, place of birth in Greece and country of birth Greece.

Can I open an account online regardless of my profession?

You can open an account online if you are an individual or a freelancer, as long as you can be identified through the eGov KYC Service. You will not be able to open an account online if your status is retired, student, unemployed, or homemaker. In this case, you will need to visit a CrediaBank’s Branch.

Can I add a co-beneficiary to my account online?

You can open an account online if you are an individual or a freelancer, as long as you can be identified through the eGov KYC Service. You will not be able to open an account online if your status is retired, student, unemployed, or homemaker. In this case, you will need to visit an CrediaBank΄s Branch.

What type of card can I get?

If you are an individual, you can get an CrediaBank Debit Visa debit card, while if you are a freelancer, an CrediaBank Debit Visa Business debit card.

How will I receive my debit card?

Your new card will be sent via courier to the address you provided during the online account opening process. This is the address registered in your eGov details, which you consented to be transmitted to CrediaBank.

How will I get my debit card PIN?

You will receive the PIN of your new card via SMS, to the mobile number you provided when starting the online account opening process.

Can I stop the online process and continue it later?

If you stop the online process, you will not be able to continue from where you left off. You will need to start over.

What will happen if, during the video call with the CrediaBank representative, the call stops?

In this case, you will need to start the online account opening process from the beginning.

I enter the One-Time Password (OTP) when requested during the online process, but it is not accepted.

This is because the maximum validity period of the One-Time Password (OTP), which is 2 minutes, has been exceeded. In this case, you will need to choose to get a One-Time Password (OTP), to continue.
